As Ontario enters stage 3, it’s important for us small business owners to determine our stance on mandatory face masks, temperature checks and social distancing. As Chis Brogan writes in the Small Biz Survival blog, our attitude towards masks and cleaning protocols can severely impact our revenue.

Here’s a summary of Brogan’s post:

  • Small business have been hit the hardest during this pandemic and it’s now more than ever that we need client trust and revenue
  • When smoking indoors was outlawed in 1976, non-smoking rules became a marketing strategy for businesses to show that they care about the health and safety of their customers.
  • “Masks and cleaning protocols are the new no-smoking.”
    • Part of regaining client trust is actively demonstrating to your customers that cleaning and screening protocols are constantly being enforced.
    • Train your employees to wear their masks correctly, wipe down frequently used areas with disinfectant and put on gloves when necessary.

MobileSaniStation’s hand sanitizer stations also serve as a great first impression of a brand that prioritizes public health. You don’t want to be that company that appears reckless when dealing with the well-being of their clients.

As Chris Brogan says, “There’s money in this advice.”
